Lunar New Year

Today is Lunar New Year.
We call it “kyuu-shogatsu.”

This event has faded in Japan.
But in Asia, such as Taiwan, people celebrate Lunar New Year.

In my house, we also celebrate Lunar New Year.
We got a message from my stepfather in Taiwan.

He told us about 光明燈.

The photo of 光明燈

光明燈 is a tradition in Taiwan.
It is known for getting rid of satan, and lead ones to happiness.
My stepfather dedicated to pray peaceful, health, and happiness for our family.

This tradition is very similar to  “Ema” in Japan.
Taiwan also has unlucky year like Japan.

In Taiwan, people pray for peace, health, and happiness in that year.

Ten years have passed since we got married.
But I still meet unknown culture every year.

I’m so excited about the things I’ve never known, every time I learn about them.

I feel like meeting my new self every time I discover the new world and unknown culture.

I pray that I can be in harmony with the world at all time.
I hope that the open world will come again soon, where we can go everywhere.

I wish a peace to my family this year to 光明燈 that was dedicated by my stepfather
